Questions and Answers

What sets Smart Panda Labs apart from other agencies?

It comes down to the experiences you and your customers get.

Most agencies focus on performance marketing and paid media. We focus on what happens after the click, on your website and across your lifecycle messaging, where high-consideration buyers research, hesitate, and decide. And we work from a simple belief we’ve built our whole method around: every person in a business relationship is distinct, complicated, and worth understanding before being worked with. We call it the Special Creature Methodology, and it shows up in three ways:

  • Post-Click Psychology. We diagnose where and why your customers hesitate, then design the experience to remove it. Not CRO gimmicks or surface-level tests.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration. Your post-click journey is owned by marketing, IT, product, and data all at once. We take the time to understand your people, translate marketing intent into technical requirements everyone can act on, and keep work moving across the marketing-IT divide.
  • Hybrid Lean. We don’t just hand you a deck. We build, to a finished, live product, using the martech you already own, and we measure as we go.
How we work with you matters just as much. We run a diagnostic sales process (like doctors, we find the root cause before prescribing), onboard thoroughly, give honest and sometimes uncomfortable feedback, and offboard cleanly, leaving you documented and self-sufficient whenever it’s time.

What is the post-click experience, and why does it matter?

“Post-click” is everything that happens after someone clicks your ad or search result and lands on your site. Your media gets people to the door; the post-click experience is what happens once they’re inside. For considered purchases, it’s where the real decision gets made or lost. Most companies keep paying for more clicks while the post-click experience quietly leaks customers. Fixing it turns the traffic you already have into more conversions, revenue, and loyalty, usually without spending more on ads.

How is this different from CRO or SEO?

CRO and SEO are tactics; we start with the decision. SEO brings people in, and CRO often optimizes surface elements like layouts and buttons. We work from how your customers actually decide, the trust, relevance, and risk questions that stall a high-consideration purchase, and fix the experience around them. We love to run experiments and lift conversion, but the testing serves a diagnosis rather than replacing one. Clients who already have a CRO or SEO partner often come to us for the piece that’s missing: someone who can build the experiments, and the experience itself.

Do you just advise, or do you actually build and implement?

Both, and you choose how far we go. Some clients want strategy only. Many want us to build: web and CMS development, A/B testing and personalization, email and SMS automations, platform configuration, and deployment, all the way to a finished, live product. Others bring us in for production only, with no strategy attached. Where a lot of agencies stop at the PowerPoint, we keep going and ship the work.

How do you work with our IT or development team?

It’s one of the biggest reasons clients hire us. Marketing knows what it wants, IT speaks a different language, and good ideas stall in between. We translate marketing intent into technical requirements your developers can act on, and we keep the work moving across that divide so projects actually ship. Whether your IT is in-house, outsourced, or stretched thin, we plug into how you already operate.

Why should I use an agency instead of my internal team?

There are three good reasons to bring in an agency: to fill an experience, skill, or resource gap with outside support; to boost productivity by working alongside your internal team; and to gain an objective “third voice” on strategic decisions. If your situation ticks none of those boxes, your internal team is probably the most efficient way to go, and we’ll tell you so.

What size organizations and which industries do you work with?

We work with B2C enterprise organizations (typically $100M+ in revenue) whose customers make big, considered decisions, the kind of high-stakes purchase people research before they commit. We’re industry-agnostic by design. Clients have spanned financial services, travel, higher education, healthcare, real estate, and considered-purchase ecommerce, and not specializing in a single vertical is deliberate. It keeps our customer’s-eye view sharper than an agency steeped in one industry’s habits.

What are the different ways I can work with you?

Two ways: ongoing support through a monthly retainer, or fixed-price projects as needed. The best results tend to come from a true partnership, where we take time to understand you and your team, built on open communication and transparency at every step. Not big on committed relationships? No problem (fun fact: neither are pandas, they go with the flow). We’re happy to take on fixed-scope projects whenever you need them.

Do I need to use all your services to work with you?

Not at all. We fill the specific gap you have, whether that’s a plan you can execute, on-site optimization, lifecycle work, new tech, or analytical support. Or we run the whole system end to end. Have us plan it, build it, or both. You pick the entry point.

What is the price of your services?

Because of the level of support and expertise we provide enterprise clients, monthly retainers start at $8,000 and fixed projects start at $10,000. Every engagement is custom-scoped to your needs, so you’ll go through our diagnostic process to land on an exact number.

What technology platforms do you support?

We’re technology-agnostic. We partner with major platforms like Salesforce, Optimizely, and Contentsquare, but we work across many tools and adapt to your existing stack, or help you implement something new you’ve had your eye on.

Do you offer guaranteed results?

We can’t guarantee specific conversion rates, because no one honestly can. What we promise is measurable insight and data to help you make better decisions. Experimentation is core to how we work: continuously learning what performs and avoiding choices that prove costly. And while we can’t guarantee outcomes, we do guarantee this: you’ll never pay for one of our errors. If something goes wrong on our end, we investigate the root cause, credit the time spent on it, and redo the work at no extra cost. We call it the Panda Promise.
